Open Data: Smarter State and Better Services

| News

Open data can benefit the public administration, business and citizens alike. Freelyaccessible structured data contribute to greater transparency of public administration, empower citizens to make informed choices and bring new business opportunities. For those reasons, the British Embassy in Prague, Otakar Motejl Fund (established by the Open Society Fund Prague) and Jan Farský, Member of Parliament, organize a conference “Open Data: Smarter State and Better Services”.

The conference will be held on 13th March 2014 in the Chamber of Deputies, Parliament of the Czech Republic, and will host Czech and foreign open data experts, including Andrew Stott, member of the UK government’s Public Sector Transparency Board, and Chris Taggart, co-founder and CEO of OpenCorporates, the largest open database of companies in the world.
