The handbook contains specific tools for planning advocacy campaigns, such as a problem tree or a map of key stakeholders (a power map), along with instructions for their practical use. We have used these and other tools ourselves in planning countless advocacy campaigns, in which we typically defend the interests of disadvantaged groups or, for example, the environment.
