Case study: Standing Conference of Associations in Education (Czechia)

When cooperation is marked by frequent and unpredictable changes in conditions, goals may seem unattainable and energy dissipates. But this was not the case for the Standing Conference of Association Education (SKAV). It successfully mobilized its members and played a significant role in shaping the new Framework Educational Programme – a key document for Czech education. Within the Stronger Roots programme, SKAV focused on improving communication and shared understanding among key stakeholders in education policy, such as the Ministry of Education, the National Pedagogical Institute, and a wide range of NGOs. By creating opportunities to meet at one table, SKAV helped replace competition with a spirit of cooperation.
