Stronger Roots 2026-2027
Altogether, 63 civil society organizations and 21 networks in Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland will receive financial grants amounting to more than 2.9 million euro from the Stronger Roots Program, starting in January 2026. The supported organizations and networks will strengthen their communities of supporters and deepen their collaboration with public institutions. The Stronger Roots Program is jointly implemented by Open Society Fund Prague (Czechia), Glopolis (Czechia), Open Society Foundation Bratislava (Slovakia), NIOK Foundation (Hungary) and Stefan Batory Foundation (Poland) and funded by the European Union from the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme.

Annotation: The project aims to develop and implement systemic solutions to strengthen the role of intercultural and Roma assistants in schools, including identifying hiring barriers, fostering dialogue with education authorities, and empowering self-advocacy.

Project: Intersectoral Network Prepared for Crises – Together for Resilience
Grant amount: €34,991.00
Annotation: The project strengthens the Network and cross-sector cooperation to improve crisis response. It includes Council meetings, crisis communication training, study visits, member initiatives, and development of communication strategy and recommendations.

Annotation: The coalition wants to grow and broaden proven models of refugee integration. We plan to build strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders and strengthen cohesion through formalization and increase of activities.

Annotation: The project strengthens cooperation between legal organizations supporting refugees and migrants. It includes meetings, a shared knowledge base, resource exchange, collaboration with law firms and the academic community, and a cross-sector conference.
