The Stronger Roots consortium has announced an open Call for Proposals targeted at civil society organizations and their networks from Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary who comply with and protect, promote or raise awareness of the EU values and principles of fundamental rights, democracy, and the rule of law. The Call has been supported by the European Union from the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) Programme. Deadline for applications has been set on May 25, 2023 at 13:00.

The organizations may apply in this Call in two separate pillars:

Pillar 1: SOCIAL BASE BUILDING FOR INDIVIDUAL CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS

Individual civil society organizations can apply for support to build or strengthen the communities of supporters, donors, volunteers, and partners around them (in line with the concept of social base building, also known as constituency building).

Pillar 2: TRANSVERSAL COLLABORATION FOR CIVIL SOCIETY NETWORKS

Civil society networks can apply for support to reach out to divergent state or public sector stakeholders and create new or strengthen existing collaborations or partnerships (in line with the concept of network transversal collaboration).

The application and selection process in this Call will be carried out separately in the Czech Republic by Open Society Fund Prague, in Slovakia by Open Society Foundation Bratislava and in Hungary by NIOK Foundation.
