The aim of the project is to support people at risk of domestic violence and the prevention of domestic violence in the community of hearing impaired (deaf) youth using innovative methods and educational materials that respect the specific communication needs of the Deaf (dramatic staging, film education and therapy). The project contains an intensive after-school work with a group of hearing impaired teenagers, especially girls, in two towns in the Czech Republic (Brno, Valašské Meziříčí) and the subsequent creation of educational products – a handbook on domestic violence prevention and a short film. Hearing impaired girls themselves will participate in the creation of the film. The dissemination and promotion of educational products will follow. The project name refers to the donor, which is the Kingdom of Norway, while capturing the essence of the project, which consists of film therapy and education. It is a reminder of the most famous Norwegian actress and director. One of her famous movie characters do not speak, like the Deaf, and the word “liv” moreover, in Norwegian means “life”. The name of the project are calling on young deaf people “live your life and do not let anyone hurt you.”
