The heavy reliance of the transportation system on private cars in Hungarian cities causes heavy pollution of the environment, overcrowded streets and many conflicts between pedestrians, drivers and cyclists. The lack of public involvement in mobility development is substantially responsible for this current state. The very core of this problem in Debrecen and its region is the small active part of the interested public. Our project aims (i) to encourage the current membership to participate more actively, (ii) to extend our membership, and (iii) to strengthen our voice in the public debate about mobility in Debrecen and its region.
